I just wanted to comment on rev. falwell's death- while we express condolences for his family and friends, we also realize that jerry falwell was a bigoted anti-gay preacher who at every turn opposed giving gay men and women equal opportunities to live lives free from prejudice; sadly, his legacy will be one of divisiveness-- he was at various time opposed to integration, interracial marriage, and most recently, gay rights; In evaluating rev. falwell's comments I always used to ask myself, what would jesus say? Surely a man who preached love and forgiveness and inclusion would despise someone like falwell attributing the 9/11 attacks to feminists and homosexuals and "abortionists". While rev. falwell's death is a loss to family and friends, it is no loss to those who seek equal rights for all men and women to pursue the american dream. I take this opportunity to remember falwell's divisive legacy, and invite you to review the website: www.fallwell.com for an assessment of rev. falwell.

I say good riddance to Fallwell and all who think like he did. He was supposed to be a man of the Cloth, but he used his position and power to oppress people. That's not what Christianity is supposed to be about. All these overzealous religious freaks like Fallwell and their "followers" think they are better than those who are different, but please show me in the Bible where it says Jesus would have rejected anyone, regardless of skin color, sexual preference, social standing, or religious beliefs. It blows my mind that there is such a thing as a religious war, I mean, what the **** people? Religion by its very definition should not be violent, it's supposed to be a way to find inner peace and strength. It's about helping your fellow man, not stepping on his face and blowing up his entire country because you don't hold the same tenets. You aren't supposed to go around trying to club your beliefs into your fellow man. If everyone would just mind their own ******* businesss and let others worship how they wanted then we'd all live in a better place. How can anyone who speaks violence and discrimination against another living being be considered the least bit holy or divine? It's not possible. Modern organized religion is nothing but a crock of **** designed to keep the sheep in line and paying their tithes while the priests defrock the altar boys in the vestry. Why do people kill each other over a difference in opionions about a supernatural being? You wonder what Jesus would say? He'd probably forgive them, but I'll bet He'd be thinking that they're all ******* hippocrites. I could go on, but I better stop before I offend someone.

I hope his maker judges him, as he judged others. No more, no less. Remember that karma runs over dogma...lol!

I think the Rev. Falwell has probably had a lot of explaining to do at the Pearly Gates.
Regarding those people who say Falwell did what he thought was right...so did Adolph Hitler.

Now who is going to attack our iconic children's characters with claims of demoralizing the nation.

He'll be "born again" as a gay, if there is any karmic justice. He was a pitiful, deluded man.

Mr. Falwell stood for what he believed in in harmony with his faith REGARDLESS of who disagreed with him.
Was he right all the time, no.
Did he stand for and fight for what he thought was right, yes.
So before you judge the man based upon your perception, look at all the facts of what he did and what he stood for.
He came to Christ at 19 and lived for Him until the end.
He is in heaven now and is rejoicing as he is beholding God's face for the very first time.

Rev. Jerry Falwell had the nerve to stand up for the faith and teach the word of God. I am proud of his stance eon issues such as abortion and homosexuality.
