I like that quote a lot. I had actually been thinking about it the other day. People tend to answer the first thing that's on their mind, but questions...require more thought, more depth...and in this place...there is a limit of characters. So if a question with a limit can pull so many wonderful answers as some people are able to do here, that is a sign of an insightful and intelligent person with a lot of depth.

Guess that means I'm an idiot cause most of the questions I ask I've been told are stupid and pointless and waste time. I disagree with that quote, I think that my questions don't mean I'm stupid just different.

funny, this is the second question tonight that I have answered by invoking my late beloved friend/mentor Dr. Jim Bly.

Jim was a journalism professor at Northwest College in Powell, WY. He was an incredibly gifted and intelligent gentleman, and what little I know about tact, I learned from him.

I was co-editor of the school newspaper and served on the Student Senate at a time when some major changes were occurring at the college, many involving the upgrading of the school's computer systems. Jim and I attended several meetings around this and other stuff.

Jim would sit quietly and listen while everyone staked out their positions on various issues...things would be discussed...then Jim would ask a question. The meeting would change, and things happened. It was amazing to watch...Jim could control an entire meeting by speaking once or twice, the first time being a question, the second time being a summary of what he had heard. I've never seen anything like it before or since.
