I think that putting comments on Youtube should be disabled. What do you guys think?

I've been a youtube viewer for a long time now. what ive been observing is the comments nowadays are full of hate. viewers still waste their time typing and finding the vids just to say nasty comments,even it has nothing to do with the video and just picking fights with other commentators who were just enjoying the video.

I've even seen racist and homophobic comments.it's very offensive since im a proud gay man.the nastiest thing i've seen on youtube is that a commentator says that if he has a gun he would shoot every gays on sight and probably teach his children how to do it as well. the comment scares me alot. And also the use of foul language in youtube is insane. Also i know alot of kids uses youtube but i hope they just watched the vids and not the comments.

This is just my opinion and no offense to youtube users who loves writing comments. But the comments ive seen during the past year is just to much.I just dont want hating to happen coz it can turn into something worse.PEACE

I make comments all the time on YouTube and absolutely ZERO percent of them were hate-filled. If you don't like the comments on your own videos, adjust your options so people can't make comments, otherwise, if the videos were posted by someone else, you should probably just stop reading them.

I partially agree with you... I hate all the spam.. you know the whole porno and your gonna die if you dont repost this... but youtube wouldn't be half as interesting if people didn't share their thoughts/opinions about the videos... Peace dude.

I like the whole concept of youtube, granted the comments can get a bit harsh but I see plenty of friendly ones that encourage people to continue to post the obscure stuff that i couldn閳ユ獩 otherwise find. I am a proud gay man as well and that guy/kid is clearly an idiot but he obviously is compelled to spread his hate, he would do it elsewhere if not there. I would not want to give him and those like him the satisfaction of thinking his rhetoric scared me.
