I am pretty sure there's no answer for this, but I'll try anyway (how's that for a positive attitude?).
When I insert a comment in Excel, and then sort the spreadsheet somehow, the comments "move". In other words, when you right click on a cell that has a comment in it, and click "edit", sometimes the comment box is way up many many rows and you have to scroll up to get to it. It's a pain. I know you can move the comments back to near the cell they are commenting on, but if I sort the list again (a different way), the same thing happens.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Thanks in advance.
How to prevent comments from "moving" in MS Excel after you sort the spreadsheet?
Right Click on the cell where the comment is located and click on EDIT COMMENT...
then (once comments is visible) Right Click on the DOTTED Border that is around the comment... Select FORMAT COMMENT...
Select Properties Tab... Pick DONT MOVE OR SIZE WITH CELLS options...
Look around the entire Format Window... Make Sure to check PROTECTION TAB and check both boxes LOCKED and LOCKED TEXT...
Good Luck...

are the comments staying in the box that you had initially put them in?
